Frequently Asked Questions

The updated licensing structure launches on June 19, 2026. You can purchase new seat licenses at any time, but you won't see specific seat license types in your account until the launch date.
New customers can fill out an Interest Form and a sales representative will be in touch within 72 hours.
Existing customers can reach out to their client success representative, or fill out an Additional Seats Form.
Starting June 19, 2026, we will offer three seat license options:
Legacy – Our traditional licensing model available through September 30, 2026.
Basic – A 1-year seat license designed for streamlined course delivery with core materials.
Premium – A non-expiring seat license that includes expanded instructional materials, additional video content, and a built-in sport course exam.
Refer to the seat license table on the pricing page for information on each.
We are updating our seat license structure to better support different types of officiating programs. Schools and organizations run their courses in different ways, so we now offer structured seat license options that allow programs to align their course structure, instructional goals, and budget.
Each learner enrolled in a sport course uses one seat license.
A seat license is considered used when a learner completes the first module of a course.
Seat licenses can be used across any available RefReps sport course.
If your most recent purchase of seat licenses occurred prior to July 1, 2025, any remaining non-consumed seat licenses will automatically convert to Basic Seat Licenses effective September 12, 2026.
If your most recent purchase occurred after July 1, 2025, they will be converted to Legacy seat licenses, unless another seat license type is purchased.
Premium includes:
✔ Expanded learning activities
✔ Additional point-of-view video materials
✔ Built-in sport course exam
✔ The most complete instructional experience within each sport course
